FFmpeg AVI para MP4 preserva som, mas não imagens

Trabalhando com o FFmpeg em uma conversão (qualquer arquivo para MP4 (H.264 / AAC)):

ffmpeg -y -i testdatei.avi -i logo.jpg -filter_complex overlay=15:15,scale=-1:720 -c:v libx264 -profile:v baseline -preset medium -b:v 880k -g 10 -pass 1 -an -f mp4 -movflags faststart /dev/null

Com o arquivo MPEG e WMV, está funcionando. Com dois AVIs diferentes, não funcionou. Os arquivos de log do caminho 1 não são gerados e a saída 1 está vazia, a saída 2, obviamente, gera um erro.

Após remover -profile:v baseline em ambos os comandos, o arquivo de vídeo é gerado com sucesso, mas não é possível reproduzi-lo no JW Player (som sim, mas nenhuma imagem).
