Como configurar cartões quadro duplo no RHEL 5.5?

Eu tenho uma estação de trabalho RHEL 5 com 2 placas NVIDIA Quadro FX4500, com um monitor conectado a cada placa.

Depois de fazer uma instalação limpa do RHEL 5.5, a segunda exibição não funciona (funcionou bem no RHEL 5.2). Nem telas X separadas nem Xinerama estão funcionando.

A versão do kernel é 2.6.18-194.el5

Eu tentei drivers nvidia 185.18.36 (os que eu estava usando no 5.2) e o mais recente 260.19.36 e nem funciona.

Comparando seu xorg.conf com o da tela quádrupla , o sistema duplo Quadro FX4000 a que tenho acesso, vejo o seguinte:

  • Suas terceira e quarta telas estão (obviamente) ausentes (da seção "ServerLayout" e suas próprias seções "Monitor" e "Screen" ), já que você só tem duas telas.
  • Você está perdendo algumas Opções nas seções "ServerLayout" , a mais significativa parece ser "Xinerama" "On" , mas o log sugere que ela está ativa mesmo assim.
  • Há uma seção "Module" ausente.
  • Os dois cards parecem estar presentes ( "Device0" & "Device1" tem BusID s diferentes), mas parece não haver nenhum parâmetro Screen na seção "Device" e não "Device2" & "Device3" seções. É possível que o parâmetro Screen [seja neded apenas se você tiver vários monitores em um único cartão.
  • Suas seções "Screen" têm Option "TwinView" "0" linhas e Option "Metamodes" ... linhas em vez de um parâmetro Modes explícito na subseção "Display" .

Minha suspeita é de que pode ser algo em uma das opções "ServerLayout" :
