/ boot e / boot / EFI parecem idênticos

Acabei de instalar o grub e está funcionando. Quando eu olhei mais de perto a minha partição /boot , notei que, quando eu digito /boot/EFI , parece que é o diretório pai:

$ ls /boot
boot_rm  EFI  grub  initramfs-linux-fallback.img  initramfs-linux.img  intel-ucode.img  vmlinuz-linux

e

$ ls /boo/EFI
boot_rm  EFI  grub  initramfs-linux-fallback.img  initramfs-linux.img  intel-ucode.img  vmlinuz-linux

o diretório grub em ambos parece idêntico também.

Isso diz que /boot/efi é o ponto de montagem. Isso significa que eu poderia excluir todos os arquivos, exceto o diretório EFI no diretório boot , já que não preciso deles duas vezes?

Como você vê na sua saída de montagem:

/dev/sda1 on /boot type vfat (rw,relatime,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro)
/dev/sda1 on /boot/efi type vfat (rw,relatime,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro)

ambos são a mesma partição física. Se você deletar algo em qualquer diretório, ele também será removido do outro diretório.
