Como obtenho dispositivos USB trabalhando com o BeagleBoard xM e o Yocto project Linux?

Eu criei um mínimo de Linux para o meu BeagleBoard xM (Rev C) usando o dispositivo de construção do projeto Yocto e instalei-o em um cartão de memória seguindo suas instruções.

Funciona (sim!), tem uma pegada pequena e inicializa muito rápido, o que eu quero. Eu usei uma receita de construção mínima com isso em mente.

Ele fornece muitas mensagens encorajadoras sobre o carregamento de drivers para os dispositivos USB. No entanto, quando eu faço login, não há interface ethernet, e nada mais no USB parece funcionar. Eu tentei ligar um cartão de memória USB, mas não é reconhecido (nada aparece no log mostrado por "dmesg"). Eu também não entendo nada no display - estou interagindo no console da porta serial.

Estou usando o binário u-boot construído pelo Yocto e carregando a tabela de dispositivos (arquivo dtb) e a imagem do kernel da mesma fonte. No entanto, notei que a imagem Debian (funcional) também inclui uma imagem "initrd". Emprestando a partir do ambiente de inicialização do Debian, eu consegui carregar esse initrd (na verdade, "uInitrd", a versão da imagem do uboot?), Mas ainda não vejo os dispositivos USB.

Estou faltando alguma coisa? Preciso colocar algo na minha compilação do Yocto ou já deve saber sobre o hardware? Dado que escolhi a opção "beagleboard", presumi que sabia o que colocar. Preciso mesmo de um "initrd"? De acordo com os documentos que eu li, este é um ramdisk que informa ao kernel quais módulos do driver devem ser carregados, mas eu realmente não entendo isso.

Aqui está a saída de boot (Entire !!) copiada do console serial. Eu corri os comandos do uBoot manualmente para inicializar o kernel.

Acontece que a árvore de dispositivos (.dtb) que é construída com o kernel está realmente quebrada. Além disso, é desnecessário. Eu simplesmente o excluí e removi a linha que o carregava no arquivo do ambiente de inicialização u (uEnv.txt). Meu Beagleboard agora inicializa bem e tem dispositivos USB (testei armazenamento em massa Ethernet e USB).

Também foi notado que existe uma camada oficial do meta-beagleboard para o Yocto, que pode ser baixada do aqui . Isso deve funcionar de forma mais confiável no Beagle, embora eu não tenha realmente tentado ainda.
