A instalação do kernel customizado do Debian Testing (Jessie) e do ATI borked

Eu estou no Debian Jessie / Sid 64-bit e estou tentando usar:

3.12.0-customkernel

Eu instalei os drivers da ATI com base no link . Estou recebendo "Oh não! Algo deu errado" em vez de GDM adequado. Eu removi o arquivo .Xauthority, os arquivos temp X, etc., mas nada disso me ajudou.

Em seguida, instalei o driver amd-catalyst-13.11-beta6-linux-x86.x86_64.run, encaminhando meu display para outro computador. De alguma forma, o driver da AMD não estava conseguindo instalar sem a tela X. Eu criei o xorg.conf inicial com aticonfig . Isso também não funcionou.

Não tenho a certeza se estou a encontrar um erro aqui ou se algo está corrompido no meu sistema. Neste ponto, estou sem ideias e não consigo encontrar nenhuma pista na Web também. Então SU é minha última esperança, eu acho.

Não tenho certeza se você conseguiu resolver o problema ou se mudou para outra coisa, mas parece que é um problema com o Xorg mais novo e com os drivers de catalisador.

Eu tive sucesso consertando o driver catalisador no Ubuntu e no Fedora 20, então deveria funcionar em Jessie, mas eu mesmo não testei isso.

Depois de baixar o catalisador, extraia o arquivo .run

abra o diretório em que você extraiu o driver: catalyst/common/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/kcl_acpi.c , vá para a linha 990 e substitua tudo isso (até o final do arquivo) por:

Em seguida, use o script ati-installer.sh incluído com o driver para compilar os pacotes da Debian, ou simplesmente construa e instale-o manualmente e isso deve funcionar.
