Windows 7 64 bits + JDK / JRE = Sistema lento

Question

Cada vez que eu instalo o JDK / JRE, sinto que o meu sistema tem um pouco mais de sobrecarga e parece um pouco "mais pesado" do que antes. Há algum serviço que inicie com JDK ou Java relacionado que seja instalado em meu sistema e, se houver, existe uma maneira de desativá-los?

Um processo residente instalado ao lado do JRE é o Java Updater .

Automatic Update Feature

1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel (For Windows XP)
   Click Start > Control Panel (For Windows Vista and Windows 7)
2. Double-click Java icon. The Java Control Panel appears.
3. Click the Update tab
   Note:
   • The Update tab may not be available if your network administrator has disabled the Java Update feature during installation.
   • If you are not logged in to system as administrator then options to change Java update notifications will be greyed out and user will not be able to change it.
4. To enable Java Update to automatically check for updates, select the Check for Updates Automatically check box.
5. To disable Java Update, un-select the Check for Updates Automatically check box.

Obviamente, ele também instalará componentes ActiveX e itens semelhantes, o que pode ter um impacto menor no desempenho geral do sistema. Mas não acho que devam ser perceptíveis. E se você quiser se livrar de aqueles , então eu não acho que o JRE ainda funcionará.
