alterna o dispositivo de áudio pelo comando bash

Estou tentando gravar um comando bash para alternar entre dispositivos de áudio (não placas diferentes). Eu encontrei este post AskUbuntu sobre o tópico, então eu comecei a descer a lista abaixo tentando cada dispositivo de saída para descobrir qual é o meu alto-falantes e qual é o meu fone de ouvido. Existe um método melhor?

O que eu tentei:

pactl set-card-profile 0 output:hdmi-surround71

para cada dispositivo de áudio, sem alteração de alto-falante para saída de fone de ouvido.

muda para a última saída não usada. Isso deve ser suficiente para alternar entre suas entradas.

Eu sei que esta não é a resposta que você quer, mas o teste indica que simplesmente o ato de conectar um par de fones de ouvido no conector de fone de ouvido elimina qualquer saída para o conector do alto-falante. Você pode testar isso por si mesmo por meio do aplicativo de som, conforme mostrado abaixo. Execute-o, desconecte seus fones de ouvido e você verá isso:
