Instalei o kUbuntu 12.10 no meu laptop DELL XPS L501X. Não consigo descobrir como ativar minha conexão sem fio.
Eu tenho o Windows 7 e o wireless está funcionando. Alguém pode me ajudar?

O problema é o firmware no kUbuntu 12.10. No post vinculado, o autor diz que o kUbuntu 12.04 usa um firmware mais novo para o iwlwifi. Para resolver o problema, baixe o firmware do kUbuntu 12.04 em wireless.kernel.org . Você deve excluir ou renomear o arquivo real (iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode) e substituí-lo por um no tarball em / lib / firmware /.
Em seguida, execute esses comandos e tudo funcionará:
sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi
