Acabei de configurar um antigo MMO a partir de 2002 ( Astonia ) em uma instalação limpa de 32 bits do Ubuntu, como foi apenas trouxe a minha atenção que o jogo em código aberto e eu percebi, por que não? Quando o servidor está em execução, são necessários < 1% de CPU e < 0,5% de RAM. No entanto, quando eu me conecto com o cliente do jogo de outro computador na minha rede ou fora da minha rede, o jogo fica lento a ponto de não poder ser jogado. Encaminhei algumas portas no meu roteador (ASUS RT-N66R) para fazer as coisas funcionarem, mas isso é o máximo que eu fiz no lado da rede.
Tenho cerca de 0 experiência em lidar com coisas de rede e não luto muito com servidores em geral. Então, não sei por onde começar. Isso soa como um problema de rede? Como posso diagnosticar isso mais? Agradecemos antecipadamente.
