Eu tive que executar mkpasswd e mkgroup para o usuário. Então cygwin reconheceu isso como um usuário.
mkpasswd --local >> /etc/passwd
mkgroup --local >> /etc/group
Estou enfrentando esse problema estranho em que o servidor SSH está fechando a conexão durante o login para esse usuário específico. Eu nunca vejo o prompt de senha para o usuário, o servidor fecha a conexão antes mesmo disso.
Eu verifiquei se as permissões estão definidas corretamente para arquivos relevantes no servidor. O servidor é uma máquina Windows que roda o cygwin.
