Como desativar o wpad completamente?

Instalei o Windows 8.1 no VMware e só resta um erro no visualizador de eventos / no log do sistema:

Name resolution for the name wpad timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Event ID: 1014

O proxy de detecção automática está desativado no IE e no Firefox, então o que está causando esse aviso wpad a cada 30 segundos, eu não me importo de me livrar do wpad completamente, eu não tenho nenhum uso para isso, mas como? Eu verifiquei o agendador de tarefas, mas ainda não encontrei nada.

- Click the Start button, and in the search field, type in "regedit", then select "regedit.exe" from the list of results
- Navigate through the tree to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Wpad"
- Once you have the "Wpad" folder selected, right click in the right pane, and click on "New -> DWORD (32-Bit Value)"
- Name this new value "WpadOverride"
- Double click the new "WpadOverride" value to edit it
- In the "Value data" field, replace the "0" with a "1", then click "OK"
- Reboot the computer

Também vi em Rede / Conexões, você pode clicar no lado direito, onde diz "Rede Conectada", em seguida, desligue "Localizar dispositivos e conteúdo".

Depois de fazer essas duas coisas, o aviso 1014 é menos frequente até agora, a 10-30 minutos de intervalo, mas se alguém souber como desligar o wpad completamente isso será ótimo.

Eu me livrei dos avisos 1014 alterando o DNS dentro da VM, eu coloquei os mesmos valores que estão no roteador, que são 4.2.2.1 & 4.2.2.2 que é o Nível 3, um dos mais rápidos.

Nunca fiz isso dentro de uma VM, presumi que tudo fosse canalizado para as configurações de DNS do roteador, acho que é um pouco mais complicado do que isso:)
