Não é possível ler o CD de áudio no Linux e estou recebendo erros do Sense no syslog

Usando o Ubuntu 12.10, eu recebo este erro estranho quando tento reproduzir um CD. Aqui está o que o dmesg mostra quando tento reproduzir um CD de áudio com vlc /dev/sr0

Se você está tentando reproduzir um áudio cd através da linha de comando usando vlc, você precisa usar

cdda

O VLC usa esse protocolo (ou módulo de acesso) para ler dados de um dispositivo ou rede. Uso: cdda: // device @ track

O nome do módulo a ser usado na linha de comando é cdda, mas você também pode usar cddasimple.

Para o Ubuntu, use vlc cdda:///dev/sr0
