problemas com a placa Gfx: ASUS Nvidia GT640-2GD3

Question

Eu tenho um problema semelhante ao autor desta pergunta: Novos problemas com a fonte de alimentação da GPU (ASUS GT640 + HP XW4600)

Eu também tenho um HP XW4600 e a placa gfx: ASUS Nvidia GT640-2GD3

O cartão não parece ter um conector ou requer uma fonte de alimentação separada e, quando conectado, a máquina não inicializa, com 6 bips em ciclo. O ventilador no cartão gfx começa a funcionar.

A placa-mãe XW4600 foi impressa em: SLOT2 PCIe2 x16 75w + 75w. Eu também tentei no SLOT4, que tem a mesma impressão.

Atualização: Eu entrei em contato com a ASUS sobre o cartão:

Your card uses 65W and is within the power requirement of the pci express slot so that t does not require additional power. The system itself you are using is a bit on the older side and it might possibly need a bios update to get newer type of hardware to function on it. There might be some microcode or some other enumeration issues in the bios that creates this issue.

Can you verify that the card works in another computer?

Atualizei o BIOS, mas ele ainda não inicializa.
