Não é possível instalar o xclip no Ubuntu 10.10

Estou tentando carregar uma chave SSH no Github de uma nova máquina e esse comando não está funcionando:

sudo apt-get install xclip

Parece que o dpkg já está em execução, tente dpkg --configure -a (Eu não sabia xclip antes só agora, parece bom, mas você também pode usar apenas ctrl + shift + c / ctrl + shift + v para copiar / colar no terminal ...)
