Em um dos meus servidores vps, configurei o Apache2 e o nginx, o nginx na porta 8080 e o Apache2 no 80, e criei um arquivo HTML estático.

Eu fiz isso várias vezes e os resultados são praticamente os mesmos, com o Apache2 levando menos tempo para processar do que o Nginx.

Parece que mod_deflate
nem sequer está habilitado, por isso nem estou usando o gzip no Apache2, ainda que ele ofereça o HTML estático mais rápido que o nginx. Estou um pouco intrigado, será que eu preciso apenas reconfigurar as configurações do nginx? Qualquer conselho apreciado.
Atualização # 1 - instalei apache2-utils
e executei dstat
. Eu também alterei o arquivo de teste para que ele agora esteja usando um arquivo html de 9,7 mb, o Apache2 e o nginx ainda são bastante consistentes. Talvez eu precise limitar a quantidade de memória disponível ou algo para estrangulá-lo ..
