É possível experimentar o Windows Server 2012 com o VmWare Server 5.0?

Eu gostaria de experimentar o windows server 2012 rc usando nossa infraestrutura vmware server 5.0. O problema é que não consigo instalá-lo porque, a cada vez, a máquina virtual é reinicializada. É vmware server 5 pronto para ganhar servidor 2012? Obrigado

Não existe um produto chamado VMWare Server 5.0, a versão mais recente é 2.0.2, talvez você queira dizer o vSphere / ESXi 5.0 da VMWare?

Se sim, não, ainda não há suporte já que o Server 2012 ainda não foi lançado (geralmente não lidamos com códigos não lançados no serverfault), mas eu sei que uma vez O Server 2012 foi lançado O vSphere / ESXi 5.1 suportará isso dentro de dias / semanas após o lançamento.

É possível executar o Server 2012 no ESXi5.0, embora ainda não seja suportado. VMWare ainda tem entrada em KB para este problema:

Altere a máquina virtual para usar o EFI em vez do BIOS:

Right-click the virtual machine and click Power > Shut Down Guest.
Right-click the virtual machine and click Edit Settings.
Click the Options tab.
Click Boot Options.
Click EFI under Firmware.
Click OK. 
Power on the virtual machine.

Adicione vmGenCounter.enable = FALSE ao arquivo .vmx da máquina virtual:

Right-click the virtual machine and click Power > Shut Down Guest.
Right-click the virtual machine and click Edit Settings.
Click the Options tab.
Under Advanced, click General.
Click Configuration Parameters.
Click Add Row.
Under name, enter vmGenCounter.enable.
Under value, enter False.
Click OK to save the changes and then close the window.
Power on the virtual machine.

Windows 8 / Windows Server 2012 is fully supported for ESXi 5.5/5.1 and ESXi 5.0 Update 1, ESXi 5.0 Update 2 and ESXi 5.0 Update 3.
