Eu percebo que este é um post antigo, mas não foi respondido.
A melhor opção é usar o diretório .ebextensions na raiz do seu projeto e adicionar um arquivo conf para configurar o passageiro. Eu criei um arquivo .ebextensions/01_passenger.conf
no meu projeto.
Para a seção de conteúdo deste arquivo, você provavelmente desejará copiar o arquivo init de passageiro existente localizado aqui /opt/elasticbeanstalk/support/conf/passenger
Eu o modifiquei ligeiramente para incluir --max-pool-size=${PASSENGER_MAX_POOL_SIZE:-6}
nas opções de comando. Você pode usar as variáveis do Beanstalk Environment para substituir o padrão de 6 pelo tamanho do pool.
