CentOS 6.5 Erros de dependência ao instalar o hhvm

Estou tentando instalar o hhvm no droplet recém-criado. Para isso, estou seguindo este guia .

Depois de adicionar o repositório Gleez, tentei executar

yum update && yum upgrade

Mas isso me causou muitos erros.

Eu quero entender por que esse tipo de erro acontece e qual é a solução alternativa?

Desde hoje eu tenho ignorado esses tipos de erros e quando eles aparecem, eu costumava desinstalar pacotes específicos ou começar do zero.

Seu cache local do yum parece estar desatualizado. Execute yum clean all e tente novamente.

Ou pode ser que o repositório esteja quebrado. Nesse caso, você precisará entrar em contato com o mantenedor do repositório.
