Por um tempo, tive o recurso Instalação de software no GPO configurado para instalar o instalador do MSI do Java 7 update 11. Então, eu removi com o método de remoção "desinstalar imediatamente o software de usuários e computadores".
Agora, tenho um servidor do Windows 2008 R2 que fica preso na "remoção do software gerenciado java 7 update 11".
Normalmente, eu ignoraria isso desconectando a conexão de rede, fazendo uma reinicialização a frio, iniciando o backup e executando a ferramenta Microsoft Fix It para remover quaisquer restos de Java. No entanto, a ferramenta Corrigir não será executada neste sistema operacional.
Se eu tentar reinstalar o Java executando o arquivo MSI, recebo a mensagem:
User 'SYSTEM' has previously initiated an install for product "Java 7 update 11'. That user will need to run that install again before they can use that product.
Error 1704. An installation for Java 7 update 11 is currently suspended.
Se eu executar o instalador pela segunda vez, ele será instalado e eu poderei desinstalá-lo de "programas e recursos" no painel de controle.
No entanto, na inicialização, ainda fico preso na mensagem "removendo software gerenciado".
O que posso fazer? Posso cancelar a desinstalação de alguma forma? Ou remover manualmente o Java? (A ferramenta JavaRa não funcionou).

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\AppmgmtThen find the correct key, this is easy to do by looking at each key’s “Deployment Name“. Once you have found the correct key simply delete it and reboot. The computer will boot normally now and you can then remove the offending software via Control Panel.

Solução 1: Remova qualquer instalação em andamento.
Inicie o Editor do Registro do Windows.
Windows XP: selecione Iniciar > Executar e digite regedit na caixa de texto Abrir e clique em OK. Windows Vista: Escolha Iniciar e digite regedit na caixa Pesquisar e pressione Enter.
Navegue até uma das seguintes chaves do Registro:
edições de 32 bits do Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Installer \ Inprogress
edições de 64 bits do Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Instalador \ Inprogress
Se a chave Inprogress existir, exclua-a.
Solução 2: Cancele o registro e registre novamente o Serviço Windows Installer.

Windows Vista: Escolha Iniciar, digite msiexec / unreg no campo Pesquisar e pressione Enter.
Registre o serviço do Windows Installer
Windows XP: selecione Iniciar > Corre. Digite msiexec / regserver e clique em OK.
Windows Vista: Escolha Iniciar, digite msiexec / regserver no campo Pesquisar e pressione Enter.
