Encaminhando um cliente PPTP e uma instância do VMware Server em execução na mesma caixa

Eu tenho uma caixa do Windows 2003 SBS. Possui 2 NICs físicas: WAN e LAN. A WAN é um IP público. A LAN é uma sub-rede 192.168.2.x simples com o Microsoft DHCP Server. O serviço de roteamento e acesso remoto da Microsoft é usado para fornecer NAT à LAN. A caixa também executa o VMware Server com uma máquina virtual executando o Windows XP. Eu quero que as pessoas consigam VPN na caixa e conectem-se a essas máquinas virtuais na porta MSRDP. Eu posso VPN (PPTP) na caixa de 2003 SBS bem, bem como ping de outras máquinas na rede local.

  • Eu posso fazer o ping da VM a partir de uma estação de trabalho física na LAN e vice-versa.
  • Eu posso fazer ping no cliente VPN a partir de uma estação de trabalho física na LAN e vice-versa.
  • posso fazer ping no servidor a partir do cliente VPN
  • EDIT: não consigo efetuar ping no cliente VPN a partir do servidor!
  • Eu posso fazer ping no cliente da VM a partir do console do servidor e vice-versa.
  • Mas não consigo fazer ping no cliente VPN a partir da VM e vice-versa.

Eu esperava configurar 2 ou 3 máquinas virtuais Windows XP em nosso único servidor, para que algumas pessoas pudessem VPN e RDP para trabalhar sem ter que deixar uma máquina física no escritório. Você poderia esta tentativa de configurar um "servidor de terminal do pobre homem".

Nesta configuração, geralmente é melhor certificar-se de que seus vm's estão usando conexões ethernet em ponte com a interface LAN, desta forma eles devem basicamente agir como estações de trabalho do cliente LAN.

Também vale a pena excluir, as sub-redes do seu vpn ou vm não são o mesmo que o seu IP local no final remoto da vpn? Se assim você pode ter alguns problemas de roteamento

Parece que você provavelmente não tem a VM com o tipo certo de rede. Você usou um dispositivo de ponte ou um dispositivo nat? Você anexou a interface wan ou lan no host? Você configurou o encaminhamento de porta certo? Se você der mais alguns detalhes de implementação, acho que estamos mais propensos a descobrir qual parte da fiação está faltando.
