LVM: Um ou mais dispositivos usados como PVs no VG mudaram de tamanho

Eu instalei recentemente o LVM no Ubuntu 18.04 em uma estação de trabalho física e criei meu primeiro LV. Após a primeira reinicialização, encontrei um problema, pois não posso ativá-lo mais.

Eu notei esse erro:

Eu tentei forçar a ativação para o VG e depois para o LV, mas não posso continuar:

Tenho certeza de que não redimensionei os PVs após a instalação. A propósito, criei-os através de pvcreate /dev/sdb /dev/sdd , vgcreate backup_vg /dev/sdb /dev/sdd , lvcreate --type striped -i 2 -l 100%FREE -n backup backup_vg .

A ordem em que os discos são enumerados não é persistente entre as reinicializações. Portanto, /dev/sdb e /dev/sdd podem ser revertidos toda vez que você reinicializar o sistema. Ou alternado com /dev/sda ou /dev/sdc . Ou alguma outra coisa.

Se você está fazendo algo que depende de se referir ao mesmo disco físico toda vez que o sistema inicializa, é melhor usar os links simbólicos em /dev/disk/by-id , pois o Linux garante que eles sempre apontem para os mesmos discos físicos, mesmo que seus /dev/sd* specials change.

Por exemplo:

pvcreate /dev/disk/by-id/ata-SEAGATE-ST3160813AS_*whatever # you hid the serial number

Tecnicamente isso não deve ser necessário com o LVM, pois ele usa seus próprios UUIDs internamente para tudo, pelo menos depois que os PVs são criados, mas é um bom hábito entrar.
