Atualizar : Infelizmente, eu nunca fui capaz de corrigir este problema, estou bastante confiante de que algum erro foi cometido ao instalá-lo ou portar os computadores e a autorização. Depois de várias reinstalações, acabei instalando-o no Site Padrão com SSL e re-autorizando todos os patches, felizmente isso não foi muito doloroso e parece ter consertado alguns outros patches irritantes que não instalaram .
Eu recentemente mudei o WSUS de um servidor para um novo servidor (requisitos de espaço em disco). Infelizmente, parece que há um problema de comunicação com novos clientes (XP SP2) se conectando ao servidor. A política de grupo foi atualizada e os clientes antigos estão usando o novo servidor, pelo menos eles estão aparecendo no novo console do servidor e recebendo atualizações.

It seems that if you have any other web site running on port 80 on your WSUS server then you HAVE to create a virtual directory called selfupdate and point it to the selfupdate folder on your server.
