instalando o Linux / Apache - incapaz de conectar

É a minha primeira vez instalando o Linux / Apache. Carreguei o CentOS e o LAMPP em uma máquina conectada a uma LAN.

Desativado http e mysql (porque eu não queria conflito com o LLAMPP)

chkconfig httpd off
chkconfig mysqld off

em seguida, o LAMPP começou com sucesso com

/opt/lampp/lampp start

Problema: não é possível conectar-se - o Firefox não consegue estabelecer uma conexão com o servidor em 179.16.51.36.

Preciso de algumas indicações sobre onde procurar em seguida.

Nenhum erro no arquivo error_log (apenas alguns avisos)

Eu posso fazer ping no servidor.

Depois que eu inicio o LAMPP, consigo fazer telnet em localhost, porta 80

Na máquina, execute telnet localhost 80 . Isso funciona? Se assim for, indica o seu servidor está sendo executado na porta 80 como deveria ser. A partir da sua descrição, parece que não está funcionando.

Verifique /var/log/messages para ver se alguma coisa útil está sendo impressa lá.

Verifique se o seu iptables está permitindo conexões de entrada na porta 80.

Execute iptables -L -nv e verifique se você tem uma linha como esta:

netstat -ntlp

Execute o procedimento acima no servidor e ele deverá listar quais serviços estão sendo executados e quais portas eles estão "ligados".

apachectl start
