QLogic QLE8152 não se conectará a um loop de fibra

Eu tenho um Dell R710 executando o Debian Linux 6.0 (Squeeze). Eu instalei um QLogic QLE8152 CNA no PCI-E riser hoje e tenho tentado fazer com que a camada Ethernet do CNA surja depois que eu coloquei um loop de fibra nele; Eu também o escopo com um medidor de luz, e o transceptor SFP + está recebendo a quantidade correta de luz. O tempo todo em que tenho trabalhado neste problema, as luzes no CNA estão piscando em verde a uma taxa de cerca de 1 flash a cada 3 segundos.

Quando eu conecto a fibra a um Juniper EX4500 10GE em um rack próximo a ele, o link do Juniper fica baixo também.

Eu tenho que confessar que esta é a minha primeira briga com um CNA, então talvez eu esteja fazendo algo fundamentalmente errado, mas aqui está o que eu encontrei até agora ...

Por fim, tentei modprobe -r qlge; modprobe -r qla2xxx e modprobe qla2xxx; modprobe qlge chutar o sistema novamente ... não vejo uma arma fumegante em /var/log/messages ...

Tecnicamente, o QLE8152 é compatível apenas com mídia de cobre, IE twinax ou ethernet. Ouvi rumores de que o 8152 da marca itel pode ser usado para trabalhar com mídia de fibra, mas é preciso algum trabalho.
