Adicionando Backports do KDE O PPA causou dependências não atendidas. Como consertar?

Adicionei ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports da maneira normal e, em seguida, executei dist-upgrade . Precisava baixar mais de gigabyte de arquivos, então saí pela tarde. Quando retornei, descobri que o sistema se tornara muito instável e inutilizável.

Eu entrei no console e reiniciei a partir daí e quando voltei, as coisas estão um pouco confusas.

Todos os seus pacotes devem ser da mesma versão:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kdm=4:4.11.3-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04~ppa1 kde-workspace-data=4:4.11.3-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04~ppa1 kde-workspace-kgreet-plugins=4:4.11.3-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04~ppa1

Depois disso, você deve verificar novamente: sudo apt-get check . Não deve haver outro erro.

Se por algum motivo a solução acima não funcionou, use aptitude :

sudo apt-get install aptitude
sudo aptitude -f install

Ele deve apresentar uma série de possíveis soluções, selecione aquela que não desinstala pacotes e / ou atualiza pacotes. Eu não posso oferecer um exemplo neste momento.

Suspeito: Estou acreditando que kde-workspace-data está muito atualizado e pode quebrar coisas (kdm), mas por alguma razão o kdm não está com a mesma versão (por exemplo, PPA maintaners), então instalando 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.3 e atualizando o kdm deve resolver o problema:

sudo apt-get install kdm=4:4.11.3-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04~ppa1 kde-workspace-data=4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.3 kde-workspace-kgreet-plugins=4:4.11.3-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04~ppa1

Possivelmente o pacote está em um estado inconsistente muito ruim, você deve reinstalá-lo por -

sudo apt-get --reinstall install kubuntu-desktop

e reinicie uma vez, espero que funcione. Se não desativar o repositório backports do kubuntu, vá para Software & Updates > Other Sources e tente

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

agora, desta vez, funcionará.
