Linux Mint 16 congelando aleatoriamente e congela sempre após suspender o wakeup

Acabei de instalar o Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon no Dell Latitude E6420. Durante uma hora de uso, a área de trabalho não responderia e não consegui acessar nenhum TTY. Apenas congelou. A mesma coisa aconteceu novamente após uma reinicialização forçada.

Eu iniciei novamente e estava tudo bem durante toda a sessão, uma hora ou mais. Eu coloquei o computador para dormir (suspender) e quando acordava na manhã seguinte, ele acordava congelado.

Eu verifiquei /var/log/syslog e encontrei algumas coisas que não consigo entender. Veja os horários entre 00:06 quando o computador foi colocado para dormir e 07:57 quando o computador foi acordado. Especificamente esta linha:
