Windows 7 para Linux: instalar sem CD / DVD ou drive USB

Question

Atualizar Desculpe, a pergunta tem várias partes, veja abaixo para detalhes: Eu tenho usado o Windows por muitos anos e só usei o Linux na linha de comando, mas quero mudar depois de perceber que o Windows é sloowww.

Existe um conjunto melhor de instruções? (Eu não tenho um USB ou CD / DVD)

Tenho o "debian-7.0.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso" e os discos 2 & 3 e renomeado 1 para d1.iso . A etapa 2 diz para copiar vmlinuz e initrd.gz para a unidade \ C

Mas eu encontrei esses arquivos em 3 lugares (eu fiz um 7z.exe l -path-to-iso- >files.list )

install.amd\gtk\vmlinuz
install.amd\vmlinuz (update plan on using this but stuck at grub see below)
install.amd\xen\vmlinuz

E da mesma forma:

install.amd\initrd.gz 
install.amd\xen\initrd.gz
install.amd\gtk\initrd.gz

Qual deles usar?

Preso no grub ...

Fiz a entrada usando o bcdedit, mas ele diz que o grub não é válido. baixou o grub do site sourceforge, copiou e apontou para ele

Debian é minha distribuição favorita. No entanto, uso o Linux há mais de uma década e conheço o caminho. Não é a melhor distro para começar. Como você é novo no Linux, eu recomendaria o LinuxMint . É baseado no Ubuntu que é baseado no Debian. É mais fácil de usar sem perder nenhum poder ou estabilidade do Debian.

Se você realmente quer se ater a um Debian puro, vá em Linux Mint Debian , que é baseado diretamente em Debian, não Ubuntu e é um Debian de todas as formas. Tudo o que você leu sobre o Debian também se aplica ao LMDE. É apenas um pouco mais fácil de instalar e configurar, ainda que não seja uma distro para iniciantes.

has the ability to load the actual installer either from the network or from

This executable is the standalone flavour, which downloads the Debian
Installer from official Debian mirrors.

== How does it work? ==

After the language choice, the executable prompts the user for some
options and tries to get defaults from the Windows environment. It then
downloads the Debian installer and kernel from official Debian mirrors. It
puts them in a Windows directory and safely modifies the Windows bootloader to
enable a choice between the legacy Windows installation and the Debian
installer at boot time.

On the next reboot, the user can choose to continue the installation of
Debian. The installation will be run using the defaults gathered from the
runtime analysis and user prompting.

As the Debian Installer is a minimal system, one might want to take a look at
