TL; DR
O WPA Supplicant falha intermitentemente no meu Raspberry Pi 3 ao usar um dongle USB Wifi. Parece fazer isso quando "reconectar" ou alterar pontos de acesso no hotel.
WPA GUI declara: "wpa_gui não conseguiu obter status de wpa_supplicant" e o ícone da conexão sem fio muda das "ondas" conectadas para dois monitores que indicam "nenhuma interface sem fio encontrada".
Como faço para impedir que minha placa wifi seja desconectada?
Configs / coisas que tentei:
- Conectando o dongle USB, por si só, a um hub USB externo (fonte de alimentação usb 3.0, 4 amp)
- Alternando "gerenciamento de energia" para "desativado" no arquivo
/etc/network/interfaces
para wlan1 (o dongle) usando o termo "sem fio desligado" e reiniciando o serviço de rede
- Modificando o arquivo
/etc/default/crda
para alterar a variável "REGDOMAIN" igual a "US" de um valor em branco
- Usando uma antena de painel direcional com um valor de ganho de 10dbi apontado para o ponto de acesso

- Dongle atualmente tem uma antena omnidirecional de ganho de 2dbi conectada.
Informações adicionais sobre o problema:
- O cartão sem fio está se conectando a uma rede Wi-Fi de hotel com vários pontos de acesso e muitos outros usuários.
- Há um mínimo de 18 pontos de acesso diferentes ao meu redor com a transmissão mais strong em torno de -47db. A força do sinal não parece ser o problema, embora possa haver interferência.
- O problema parece ocorrer quando a unidade autentica novamente ou (talvez) muda para um ponto de acesso diferente na mesma rede (diferente ap no mesmo ESS)
- Depois que o problema ocorrer, o ifconfig ainda mostrará wlan1 (a placa com problema), mas não há endereço IP atribuído a ela.
- Após o problema ocorrer, o iwconfig ainda mostra wlan1 e declara que não está associado a um ponto de acesso.
- O problema pode ser resolvido temporariamente desconectando / conectando o dongle Wi-Fi USB de volta ao pi ou ao hub USB.
- O pi está executando o cartão interno como um ponto de acesso para meu uso pessoal
- O tráfego de wlan1 (o dongle) é NAT e depois conectado a wlan0 (o AP)
- A placa de rede AP do pi está transmitindo em aproximadamente -27 dbi no modo 802.11g (suponho a 2,4 ghz)
- O pi lida com a autenticação do portal cativo na rede do hotel por meio do navegador de epifania
- O hub e o dongle USB são de aproximadamente 1 pé de distância do pi
- A conexão fica por 30 segundos, outras 4 horas. Varia amplamente.

Solução
Instalei network-manager
e network-manager-gnome
e perdi meu cartão wlan1 de /etc/network/interfaces
. A placa permaneceu estavelmente conectada por mais de 20 horas e só desconectou quando eu desliguei o pi de framboesa. O WPA Gui diz "não pode obter status de wpa_supplicant", mas a placa funciona de qualquer maneira.
Parece que nm-applet
tem problemas com permissões. Eu tenho que sudo pkill nm-applet
e, em seguida, sudo nm-applet
para obter network-manager-gnome
para se conectar ao wireless. Vou ter que resolver os erros.
