lsusb error - não é possível obter o qualificador / descritor do dispositivo: Recurso temporariamente indisponível

Instalei recentemente o Fedora 25 Server em uma máquina relativamente antiga ( Small Form Factor HP Compaq dc7700 ). Ele costumava executar o Windows 10, mas todas as portas USB pararam de funcionar (não me lembro se funcionou desde então); Eu instalei o Fedora na esperança de resolver o problema do USB.

Meu entendimento é que depois de conectar um dispositivo USB, ele deve aparecer ao executar lsusb . No entanto, vejo apenas os hubs, e não o dispositivo (neste caso, um teclado):

Como posso determinar se isso é um problema de hardware ou um problema de driver - dispositivo USB ou dispositivo do sistema? Que passos adicionais posso dar para resolver este problema?

Provavelmente é um problema de hardware na máquina, especialmente se esse comportamento intermitente foi visto nele com o Windows instalado. Veja algumas coisas que você pode tentar:

1. Tente alguns outros dispositivos USB, principalmente unidades flash, enquanto faz algumas transferências de arquivos. O teclado provavelmente está bem, mas isso seria outra confirmação.

2. Quando você conecta um dispositivo usb, você pode fazer um ls -l /dev/disk/by-* para ver o que aparece lá, já que os dispositivos usb serão explicitamente nomeados / listados lá. Independentemente de qual lsusb declara, isso deve mostrar pelo menos dispositivos conectados (e eles podem desaparecer quando eles pararem de funcionar, também ... potencialmente outra pista).
