CUPS no FreeBSD: caminhos adequados para colocação manual de arquivos PPD individuais

Antecedentes

Eu baixei um punhado de arquivos PPD para Linux, com a expectativa de que eles funcionem no TrueOS Desktop, que atualmente é baseado no FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT.

Sei que com a interface da Web para o CUPS - normalmente link - há 'Ou fornecer um arquivo PPD:' com a opção de navegar pelo sistema de arquivos, mas eu prefiro ter o driver listado depois que eu selecionar a marca / fabricante relevante.

Sucesso e a pergunta

Eu experimentei o posicionamento dos arquivos PPD em /usr/local/share/cups/model/other , onde o diretório other foi feito por mim.

• Gostaria de saber se um caminho diferente seria mais adequado .
