Não é possível acessar o disco, tabela de partições quebrada

Eu era tão burro, para desligar o poder do meu Readynas Ultra 4 quando ele estava instalando o disco (3TB WD Green), eu não tive tempo para esperar por ele, já que eu iria devolvê-lo (era muito ruim barulhento) A instalação do disco estava em 0% e ficou assim por 2 minutos, então decidi desligá-lo sem pensar nas consequências. De qualquer forma, agora está feito, e preciso colocá-lo no meu novo NAS (Synology 413j), mas isso não está indo muito bem. O disco é reconhecido no BIOS, e eu o atualizo como / dev / sdc quando eu executo o gparted ao vivo em USB. Mas isso não é mostrado no gerenciador de dispositivos do Windows ou no Ubuntu. Quando eu executo o sudo gparted em um Ubuntu USB ao vivo, recebo um erro de entrada / saída durante a leitura em / dev / sdc.

No gparted (live), o disco / dev / sdc é mostrado, mas não é alocado, e mostra um erro de leitura de entrada / saída ao varrer todos os discos. Não importa o que eu tente fazer, parece que eu recebo o erro de entrada / saída, eu tentei instalar o Ubuntu nele, e parece criar a tabela de partições, mas quando eu inicio a instalação - erro de entrada / saída.

Alguém tem alguma ideia de como posso consertar isso? Fico feliz em postar mais arquivos de log ou qualquer outra coisa, mas não tenho experiência com o Linux, apenas uso para esse tipo de coisa. O disco é muito novo, apenas alguns meses, então duvido que sejam setores defeituosos.

Você tem copy & colou muitas transcrições desnecessárias, mas seu primeiro parágrafo praticamente diz tudo:

When I run sudo gparted on a live ubuntu USB, I get Input/output error during read on /dev/sdc.

Então você tem um disco com defeito. O erro vem diretamente em /dev/sdc (não /dev/sdc1 ou /dev/sda2 , etc ...), portanto, aplica-se a todo o disco. Portanto, a tabela de partições não tem nada a ver com isso.

Você deve examinar a saída de dmesg ou o conteúdo de /var/log/kern.log para obter informações adicionais sobre o erro de E / S. Se é um setor defeituoso, isso lhe dirá qual é o setor.

Fazer uma verificação de blocos defeituosos com badblocks -w /dev/sdc pode gerar resultados interessantes. Ele também pode forçar o firmware interno do disco rígido a realocar setores defeituosos de seu pool de setores reserva para que você possa continuar usando a unidade.

Não é só que a tabela de partições não está correta: há um erro ao tentar lê-la. Então o que está errado não é devido à tentativa de instalação abortada. Isso poderia ter deixado os dados no disco em um estado inconsistente, mas isso não tornaria o disco ilegível.

Você tem uma falha de hardware ou driver. Provavelmente é o disco, mas pode ser o cabo ou até mesmo o controlador de disco. Verifique desconectando e conectando os conectores de energia e dados e conectando o disco em uma máquina diferente, preferencialmente com um cabo diferente.
