Sem wifi em um Lenovo 500s-14ISK com o Debian 8

Question

Instalei o Debian 8 em um Lenovo 500S-14ISK e não importa o que eu faça, não consigo fazer o WiFi funcionar. Eu estive procurando por isso o máximo que pude nos últimos 2 dias e pesquisei muitos tutoriais como:

e mais, mas nenhum parece funcionar, talvez eu esteja fazendo errado, talvez esteja desatualizado, não tenho certeza, então aqui estou eu pedindo ajuda. aqui tem mais informações sobre o meu sistema

O Intel Wireless Band AC 3165 não é suportado pela sua versão do kernel 3.16 , de acordo com wireless-wiki-kernel :

Intel® Wireless 3165 (starting from firmware XX.XX.13.0 and kernel 4.1)

Você precisa atualizar a versão atual do kernel pelo menos para o 4.1 .

Faça o download do arquivo iwlwifi-7265-ucode-25.30.13.0.tgz

wget https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/_media/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi-7265-ucode-25.30.13.0.tgz

Copie o firmeware para /lib/firmware .

tar xvf iwlwifi-7265-ucode-25.30.13.0.tgz
cd iwlwifi-7265-ucode-25.30.13.0
cp iwlwifi-*.ucode /lib/firmware
