Usando um kernel debian padrão?
Teste modprobe ufs
como raiz para carregar o suporte ao sistema de arquivos UFS.
Depois de mudar do Debian estável para o teste Debian eu tenho um problema para montar minha partição root do FreeBSD no meu sistema: Como montar o sistema de arquivos ufs no teste Debian?
Eu descubro quais sistemas de arquivos meu kernel Linux suporta através deste comando cat /proc/filesystems

Como ativar o suporte ao sistema de arquivos Unix ( ufs
) no kernel do Linux?
Atualizar
a saída de:
modprobe ufs
mount -t ufs -o ufstype=ufs2 /dev/sda4 /mnt/ufs_mount
é:
mount: /dev/sda4 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda4,

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so.
