HPLIP reclama sobre falta de dependência que já está instalada

Eu estou no Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon. Eu baixei a última versão do HPLIP da página oficial.

Eu corri sh hplip-3.16.7.run e comprei agora:

Eu tive o mesmo problema no Linux Mint 18 com o Cinnamon.

Para corrigir isso, instalei libtool-bin e reiniciei a instalação de hplip novamente. Desta vez, ele me levou a desinstalar a instalação anterior, o que eu fiz. Após a instalação e reinicialização bem-sucedida, consegui configurar minha impressora e tudo ficou bem.
