Erro ao instalar o Grub

Question

Estou tentando instalar o grub, mas estou recebendo o erro:

Estou usando a GPT para particionar e o sistema de arquivos é ext3. Quando eu corri o gdisk -l ele mostra o setor de início das primeiras partições no SSD (que é / sda) é 2040.

Estou recebendo este erro porque o disco não inicia nos primeiros 512 bytes?

Se não, o que mais poderia estar causando esse erro?

Estou tentando fazer isso funcionar para concluir a instalação do Arch.

Minha unidade agora é /dev/sdb . Acabei de limpar tudo e começar a instalação novamente.

A primeira partição pode começar em 2040, mas deve ter o sinalizador bios_grub e é com isso que sua instalação do grub está reclamando.

Se você fizer parted -l /dev/sda , deverá obter algo como:
