Eu encontrei a resposta aqui e seguiu o conselho, como no seguinte bloco de código. A primeira linha é o comando recomendado e o restante é o resultado de ntfsfix
. Agora o disco é montado sem problemas, com os dados aparentemente intactos.
[root@localhost]/home/Harry# ntfsfix /dev/sdb1
