Eu instalei o Kazam para gravar minha tela. A captura de vídeo foi boa, mas a qualidade do áudio estava ruim. Então comprei um microfone melhor.
O novo microfone, embora muito melhor para usar com outros programas (como o Audacity) tem uma entrada USB em vez de 3,5 mm, e alguns programas como o Firefox e, sim, o Kazam, não o reconheceram. Então eu tive que instalar o controle de volume Pulseaudio e configurá-lo para que meu novo microfone fosse usado para gravar áudio para cada aplicativo.
Agora o Firefox reconhece meu microfone, assim como o Audacity e o Skype, mas o Kazam tem um problema ainda maior: toda vez que eu tento parar de gravar, ele congela! Então, eu não posso, de fato, gravar nada. Eu tentei reinstalar o Kazam. Isso não ajudou.

Nesse ponto, congela e não faz mais nada. Nunca mais me mostra a janela de opções, e nem consigo fechá-la a menos que eu mate o processo.
Se eu configurar o Pulseaudio Volume Control para usar o monitor do dispositivo em vez do próprio dispositivo, posso interromper a gravação e salvar um arquivo, mas não consigo reproduzi-lo. Tudo o que recebo é um segundo de silêncio, sem vídeo, e o Kazam não pode excluir o arquivo temporário de filme de 0 byte.
