Como sair da conta do usuário após a execução de um programa

No computador do meu amigo quando o Skype é iniciado via terminal ou GUI, o usuário atual é forçado a sair do sistema. Remover e reinstalar o Skype não funcionou e estamos usando a mesma versão do Ubuntu, que é 12.04.4 LTS de 32 bits, e ambos os nossos programas Skype instalados são da mesma versão, ou seja, 4.2.0.11.

Qual pode ser a causa por trás disso e como esse comportamento do Skype pode ser evitado? É um bug ou algo relacionado com programas instalados, etc.? Qualquer ajuda é apreciada.

Os arquivos de log são os seguintes e meu amigo também afirmou que quando ele tentou dar uma olhada nesses arquivos no Emacs ele foi expulso do sistema novamente:

Tanto quanto eu estou preocupado, X é o culpado. Eu gostaria de ouvir seus comentários e sugestões para possíveis soluções.

Eu sei sobre esse problema. E como de costume, o culpado é amplamente considerado como sendo nouveau , o driver da GPL NVidia. @Vesnog, posso supor que seu amigo tenha uma placa GeForce embutida em seu PC? Isso explicaria muita coisa. :)

Ah, e como você está no Ubuntu, a seguinte linha também pode curar o "problema"; -) 

$ sudo apt-get remove light-locker

Essa coisa é realmente irritante, especialmente para monitores modernos! Eu ainda me pergunto por que ainda é instalado por padrão, como 98% das pessoas modernas estão usando agora monitores TFT (LCD / LED), que já não sabem sobre o fenômeno "burn-in".
