Não é possível ver as redes sem fio no 12.10 (cartão AR928X)

Não consigo visualizar nenhuma rede sem fio (acessível por meio de outros dispositivos). No applet nm, posso ver que a opção 'Enable wireless' está selecionada. Alguém poderia me informar qual é o problema?

Tente adicionar uma rede manualmente clicando no ícone de rede, selecionando editar conexões, sem fio e adicione. Digite o SSID da rede e siga estas instruções para atualizar as conexões. Conectando e atualizando uma rede sem fio sem reiniciar . Você também pode ter que instalar os drivers, mesmo que seu computador veja o dispositivo.
