Não é possível executar o startx no tty

Eu recentemente mudei do win10 para o Ubuntu porque eu não uso mais para jogos. Quando eu instalei, eu só tinha acesso ao meu desktop (gdm3), mas uma resolução de 800x600 que parecia horrível.

Agora que instalei todos os drivers necessários, obtenho minha resolução total de 1920x1080, mas não consigo acessar a GUI. (Eu não posso sair de tty1.)

RESOLVIDO: Use gráficos integrados (intel) como gráficos primários: sudo prime-select intel

E é aí que congela e não gera mais saída. Eu deixo assim por 2 horas sem nenhuma mudança.

Estou usando um bloco de anotações MSI com o gtx960M e o Ubuntu 18.04. Mais informações a pedido.

Alguém pode me dizer como consertar isso, por favor? Porque eu realmente preciso desse caderno para o meu trabalho ...

Remova os drivers da nvidia primeiro:

sudo apt purge nvidia-*

Em seguida, permita que o Ubuntu instale o driver 396 recomendado:

sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall

Reinicie seu laptop:

sudo reboot

Desde que o Ubuntu 18.04 foi usado, ative o ambiente gráfico por padrão:

sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target

Se você deseja iniciar o Gnome Desktop a partir de uma sessão atual sem GUI (ambiente multiusuário), basta executar:

sudo systemctl start gdm3.service

Atualizar

Como os gráficos híbridos estão em uso, instale nvidia-prime para alternar entre os gráficos intel e nvidia (ele já pode estar instalado):

sudo apt install nvidia-prime

Verifique qual placa gráfica está sendo usada:

prime-select query

Você pode ver intel ou nvidia como saída do comando. Se você vir intel , mude para nvidia :

sudo prime-select nvidia

Reinicialize e verifique se os gráficos funcionam normalmente. Se prime-select query retornar nvidia , tente alternar para intel :

sudo prime-select intel

reinicie e veja se está tudo bem. Se nada ajudar, por favor, poste no texto da saída da pergunta do comando:

sudo lshw -c display
