xorg - tela preta após a instalação do xorg-x11-drv-nvidia

0

Há uma tela preta somente após a instalação do xorg-x11-drv-nvidia, mas ctrl + alt + f2 me salvou para carregar na tela de login do terminal; depois disso "startx" funciona para mim.

Por favor, me guie, o que posso verificar no meu sistema?

2 coisas presumindo que você não fez nada além de instalar o pacote:

  1. xorg.conf precisa ser modificado para carregar o driver nvidia. Driver "nvidia" Note que é quase impossível falar com alguém através do xorg.conf, e é por isso que deve ser roteirizado.

  2. o modesetting precisa estar na lista negra no grub, depois o grub é atualizado.

Por algum motivo inexplicável, apesar de décadas de conhecimento, esses pacotes de distribuição ainda não conseguem automatizar essas duas ações, que são necessárias para carregar os drivers não livres. Como você pode ver, todos os drivers carregados no xorg, mas o xorg não sabe que ele deve usar a nvidia, não o modesetting.

Eles também não conseguem realmente verificar a identificação do barramento da placa de vídeo / dispositivo real, para garantir que o driver que está sendo instalado seja o driver correto. Este, como abaixo, é um problema que foi resolvido há mais de 10 anos e que simplesmente não deveria existir. Mas os criadores do pacote de drivers se recusam a fazê-lo. Com a nvidia, por exemplo, eles geralmente têm de 3 a 4 versões legadas de placas suportadas, e é basicamente trivial verificar sua ID de placa instalada contra essas listas para ter certeza de que você está instalando o driver correto.

É por isso que você vê as ações do modeset e quase nenhuma ação nvidia no Xorg.0.log

Acho triste que esse problema continue existindo nos pacotes de drivers de distribuição, não há absolutamente nenhuma desculpa para isso, o script dessas soluções requer apenas algumas centenas de linhas de código para resolver o problema para todos os usuários globalmente. A solução alternativa é que o usuário após o usuário faça a mesma pergunta ano após ano, o mesmo problema, com a mesma solução exata, como se o suporte fosse uma mercadoria infinita que pode ser presumida, quando a solução é e sempre foi para script para todos os usuários.
