Driver de construção para RTL8188eu

Eu tenho um dongle USB que tem o chipset RTL8188eu. Ele costumava trabalhar sem ter que fazer nada (ou seja, eu poderia apenas ligá-lo e ir embora).

Enquanto tentava instalar vários outros dongles USB, eu de alguma forma consegui deletar o driver para este dongle (no meu sistema, em /lib/modules/4.13.0-31-generic/kernel/drivers/staging/rtl8188eu ).

Eu tentei reconstruir isso (r8188eu.ko) imitando as etapas que usei para reconstruir meu btusb.ko (que também desapareceu):

  • Fazendo o download do meu código-fonte do kernel no link
  • Desalinhamento: tar -zxvf linux-4.13.tar.gz
  • Alterando para o diretório: cd ./linux-4.13/drivers/staging/rtl8188eu
  • Construindo: make -C /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build M=$PWD modules

Mas recebo este erro:

Eu também tentei executar o nível de um único diretório:

  • cd ..
  • make -C /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build M=$PWD modules

Mas isso também falhou:

Talvez os parâmetros do Makefile sejam diferentes para módulos wifi? Existe uma maneira de reconstruir meu r8188eu.ko ausente ou preciso reinstalar o sistema operacional?
