Eu tenho uma TV Samsung 4K de 55 "e um computador portátil Acer 4K, ambos com uma porta HDMI. Eu tenho dois cabos HDMI diferentes. Não funcionou com um, mas funcionou perfeitamente com o outro. Apenas tente mudar para um cabo melhor.
Eu tenho um laptop que é capaz de conduzir telas de 4K (carrega uma tela de 2K regularmente). Estou tentando, sem sucesso, fazer com que ele conduza uma TV 4K (LG 55UF7600) através de uma saída de porta de vídeo para uma entrada HDMI (ambas são capazes de transmissões de 4K). No entanto, o Ubuntu oferece apenas 1080p como a resolução máxima que vai conduzir na TV (através de nvidia-settings e Settings - > Display ). Estou intrigado sobre o porquê.
Eu fiz algumas leituras e tentei forçar X a enviar criando um arquivo "10-monitor.conf" em /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d . No entanto, isso não funcionou. O arquivo contém:

Meu palpite é que a TV está enviando o EDID errado, alegando suportar apenas 1080p. Eu tentei adicionar essa opção ao meu arquivo 10-monitor.conf :
Option "UseEDID" "FALSE"
Mas isso acabou com o X. Ele não iniciava nada (tela azul, sem login).
Eu tentei usar o software get / parse-edid, mas não devo usá-lo corretamente porque não consegui nenhum EDID.
