Eu estava instalando o Youtebe-dl através do Ubuntu Software Center, mas agora meu centro de software do Ubuntu não está funcionando. Então, eu não posso capaz de atualizar e instalar o youtube-dl. Eu tento seguir o procedimento para instalação: -

Como posso desinstalar e instalar o Youtube-dl usando somente terminal?
Eu resolvo esse problema usando comandos.
(Passo 1)
sudo apt-get remove youtube-dl
sudo apt-get install youtube-dl
passo (3) Baixando lista de reprodução ..... youtube-dl -cit --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLttJ4RON7sleuL8wDpxbKHbSJ7BH4vvCk
Tente o comando pip para atualizar youtube-dl
sudo pip install --upgrade youtube-dl
Se você receber esta mensagem:
sudo: pip: command not found
Em seguida, instale primeiro pip :
sudo apt-get install python-setuptools
sudo easy_install pip
sudo pip install --upgrade youtube-dl
Seria mais fácil usar --reinstall
sudo apt-get install --reinstall youtube-dl
use então:
youtube-dl -cit --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLttJ4RON7sleuL8wDpxbKHbSJ7BH4vvCk
Não concordo com outras respostas, melhor é a maneira oficial de instalar o youtube-dl , pois muitas vezes você precisará atualizá-lo ( sudo youtube-dl -U ) para mantê-lo funcionando:
sudo wget https://yt-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl -O /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl
E aqui você encontrará um script bash que eu fiz para download em lote, obtendo nomes de faixas de um arquivo de texto.
