tem o mesmo problema - não é possível encontrar o dispositivo
(2) quando eu tinha o scanner xubuntu 12.04 trabalhado
(3) se eu conectar meu laptop (mesmo Ubuntu 16.04 que a área de trabalho, mas laptop for de 64 bits, a área de trabalho for de 32 bits ), então a verificação simples no laptop funciona.

Por favor, note que se eu conectar o scanner a um soquete usb diferente (por exemplo, um soquete no barramento 001), lsusb
irá encontrá-lo lá, mas o escaneamento simples ainda não funcionaria.

Eu posso inicializar dualmente esta máquina em uma instalação antiga do Fedora-3. Scanner funciona lá. No entanto, scanimage -L
não o encontrará, lsusb
e sane-find-scanner

que permite que o FC3 execute o verificador, mas o Ubuntu 16.04 não pode usar libusb
?
Como mencionei antes, o scanner funcionava no 12.04, mas parou de funcionar após a atualização para o 14.04 e agora para o 16.04

A saída do terminal é idêntica para a área de trabalho de 32 bits (o scanner não funciona) e para o laptop de 64 bits (funcionamento do scanner), e está abaixo:

Na verdade, acabei de verificar que meu laptop de 64 bits não tem o libsane-dev e verifiquei novamente, o scanner funciona se estiver conectado ao leptop.

estava OK, hp5590 não foi comentado; então eu modifiquei /etc/sane.d/hp5400.conf
adicionando a linha usb apropriada; O scanner ainda não funciona, mesmo quando scanimage -L

Mais uma coisa, curiosamente, o arquivo
/etc/sane.d/hp5400.conf
é o mesmo tanto no laptop de 64 bits quanto no de 32 bits sem ter a edição editada da linha 5590 e ainda trabalhar com o scanner, exceto o desktop de 32 bits do Ubuntu desde o upgrade de 12.04 .
Consequentemente, acho que a grande questão é "Por que o 32bit 16.04 Ubuntu desktop relata o dispositivo ocupado?"

Consequentemente, as coisas notaram: (a) nem o laptop Ubuntu FC3 nem 64 bits tem arquivos hp5550.conf mas o scanner funciona com ambas as máquinas, (b) enquanto o Ubuntu 32bit ou 64bit não possui um scanner montado usbfs funciona no Ubuntu 64bits mas não no 32bit Ubuntu.
