Quando eu estava prestes a instalar o nodejs, executei com sucesso estes dois comandos:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs
No entanto, quando eu executei o sudo-apt-get install npm , isso me deu essa lista de erros:
$ sudo apt-get install npm

essa não é uma maneira correta de instalar o Node.js, em vez disso, o NVM (Node version manager) deve ser usado. Veja aqui: link
verifique com o seguinte código:
sudo apt-get install python-software-properties python g++ make
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs
npm install
para verificar a versão,
npm -v
a saída será assim
1.4.28
Tente usar um método de aqui
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_7.x | sudo -E bash --
e depois:
sudo apt-get install nodejs
Depois de executar o comando
sudo apt-get install aptitude
então
sudo aptitude install npm
resolvi meu problema
