Erros “* ERROR * UVD não está respondendo, tentando resetar o VCPU !!!”

Eu recebo os erros abaixo quando inicio o sistema.

Agora estou usando o modo de recuperação, o que devo fazer?

Eu tive um problema muito parecido e corrigi-lo editando o arquivo grub padrão com

  sudo nano /etc/default/grub

e mudando a linha

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

para

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="radeon.modeset=0"

depois salvando o arquivo e atualizando o grub com

  sudo update-grub

e reinicializando. Se o acima não funcionar, então talvez tente mudar o

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="radeon.modeset=0"

para

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset"

E verifique o log do dmesg em busca de erros com

 dmesg | grep radeon

se os métodos acima funcionarem apenas para garantir que tudo está OK.
