Adaptador de rede sem fio Realtek RTL8723BE PCIe não funciona no Ubuntu 16.10

Question

Instalei o Ubuntu 16.10 em um Hp Envy Laptop e enfrentei problemas com conectividade wifi. O sinal wifi é muito pobre e sentado ao lado do roteador wifi também causa desconexões e sinal fraco que também parece drenar minha bateria mais rápido. Algumas outras soluções mencionam o uso do driver proprietário para o Realtek na janela Additions Drivers, mas não consigo vê-lo listado lá: -

Executar em um terminal

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf <<< "options rtl8723be ant_sel=1"

e reinicie.

Se isso não funcionar, tente com ant_sel=2

Isso definirá a antena correta e deverá corrigir o problema do sinal fraco.
