Meu computador tinha dois sistemas operacionais instalados: Windows XP e Ubuntu 10.10.
Agora, quero atualizar o Ubuntu para 12.04. Eu usei um disco USB para instalar o 12.04. Mas o instalador não consegue encontrar minha partição. fdisk pode encontrá-los. Como posso consertar isso?

O instalador do Ubuntu 12.04 não consegue encontrar a partição no meu disco rígido. Só encontra o dispositivo - /dev/sda .
Pxd, inicialize de volta na sua instalação do Ubuntu 10.10 e execute isso a partir da linha de comando:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
Como alternativa, você pode executar update-manager -d do terminal e atualizar usando a ferramenta GUI.
Qualquer uma dessas opções fará com que você faça o upgrade para a próxima versão mais recente sem perder dados salvos.
