Estou no laptop ASUS D540S Quando acabei de instalar o LUBUNTU 16.04, não consegui fazer com que a porta HDMI funcionasse, ele não detectaria nenhum monitor. Depois de pesquisar na web por meses e tentar soluções diferentes, nada funcionou para mim e achei que a porta HDMI do meu laptop estava quebrada. Então, quando comecei a sentir que a exibição padrão era muito pequena para mim, tentei novamente e depois que executei esses comandos:
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel
sudo apt-get install mesa-utils
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
E reiniciado, o monitor HDMI começou de repente a funcionar. E eu pensei que o problema estava resolvido.
Recentemente, recebi um novo monitor para laboratório e o problema está de volta. Quando conecto o HDMI ao meu laptop, aparece uma mensagem dizendo "HDMI No Signal" no monitor. Meu laptop se recusará a detectar o monitor. (Eu não sou / não posso usar o mesmo cabo HDMI como aquele com o monitor de trabalho
